Darling Harbour

Darling Harbour is the next stop! Located right along the waterfront in Sydney, this lively spot features many stores, restaurants, museums, exhibitions, and other forms of entertainment too. With so much to see and do at this one fantastic location, it has something for everyone to enjoy no matter what age you are, making it a great place to take your family or to visit if you're a tourist!

One of the main attractions in Darling Harbour is Madame Tussauds, along with WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium (which have the world's largest collection of Australian ocean creatures). Other features include the Powerhouse Museum (with a ton of interactive displays), the Australian National Maritime Museum (with a full-size replica of Captain Cook's ship), and numerous attractions geared towards kids, such as a carousel, play areas, and a water park!

For those seeking a more adventurous experience, there are IMAX theaters, 9D virtual reality experiences, jet boat rides on the harbor, simulated flight experiences, and car racing!

Personally, my absolute favorite thing to do while I was at Darling Harbour was experience SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium because of the incredible underwater tunnel, where you can watch sharks, rays, and turtles up close! I love being near the water, and while I really enjoyed my visit to the aquarium, I also learned so much from this experience!

  The Art Gallery of New South Wales , one of Australia ' s most prominent galleries has an exceptional collection . I discovered an incredible work of art in an online review of their collection , the Yirrkala Bark Petitions (1963) , created on tree bark from the artists of the Yirrkala community in northern Australia . Hyde Park

  I'm observing a large grassy area that has many tall trees, bright sunlight, and many people enjoying themselves. Some are playing chess next to walking paths, some are lounging in the grass, and few are just chatting or taking pictures. Most seem relaxed and don't appear rushed, which I believe indicates they are just taking some time away from their busy city lives. It seems that many people frequent this park often, perhaps several days a week, because it is so calming amidst a busy city. In this park, you can do most anything you want, including walking, jogging, reading, playing games, picnicking or simply enjoying the fresh air. The parks and gardens where I live have this same kind of atmosphere, where people congregate and enjoy themselves through socializing and exercising, such as Doña Casilda Park.
