My steps through Sydney



This blog will be my personal space to explore and reflect on our class project about the city of Sydney. Throughout the process, I will explore some of the city’s most iconic locations and reflect on what I learn about its culture, atmosphere and identity. My intention is not only to gather information, but also to express my impressions and how my understanding develops along the way.

I´m going to be visiting Sydney soon, and the first place I will be going to will be the Sydney Opera House. I will be admiring its unique architecture and the view over the harbour, which has always impressed me in photos. I will also be going to Bondi Beach, where I will be enjoying the atmosphere and the coastline. I will be exploring other famous places too, such as the Harbour Bridge and the Royal Botanic Garden.

I haven’t been to Australia before, but I know someone who has visited Sydney and they told me it is a multicultural and lively city. So I will be experiencing a completely different environment, culture and lifestyle. I’m sure I will be enjoying the trip and creating unforgettable memories while I am there.

  The Art Gallery of New South Wales is one of the most famous museums in Australia. When I looked at its collection online, one artwork caught my eye: the Yirrkala Bark Petitions (1963).
